PLANT CELL

        Nucleus to Dumbledore - The nucleus is the “control center” of the cell. It contains all the DNA

   

                                 

-          Like the nucleus, Dumbledore has control over the whole school of Hogwarts. Also, his Pensieve hold all of his knowledge and memories which can be compared to DNA

 Cytoplasm to Wizards- The cytoplasm surrounds everything within the cell. It is a jelly-like substance.

-          


Cytoplasm can be compared to the witches and wizards (students) at Hogwarts because
they both take up the empty space, and are found “everywhere”

              Endoplasmic Reticulum to Portkeys- Endoplasmic Reticulum  is basically the delivery   
            system of the cell. It is made up of tubes that travel all throughout the cell.

-          The endoplasmic reticulum can be compared to a portkeys because they both take things from place to place whether it’s in a cell (endoplasmic reticulum), or somewhere else in the whole wide world (portkeys)

           Mitochondria to Magic- mitochondria is known as the “powerhouse” of the cell. It breaks down
       nutrients and releases energy.

-          Mitochondria can be compared to magic because magic is the power source to all things in

       the wizarding world

              Ribosomes to House Elves- The ribosomes make protien. These protiens are used by other 
            organelles in the cell. When ribosomes are attached to the Endoplasmic Reticulum, it is
            called the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.

-   Ribosomes can be compared to house elves because house elves make the food (protien) for all the students in Hogwarts.

              Vacuole to the House Common Rooms- In a plant cell, there’s a huge vacuole stores water
            and nutrients.

-         















The house common rooms can be compared to the vacuole because it’s where everything is stored (student’s belongings, extra food and water). Also, a lot of witches and wizards gather there which is similar to how there is alot of material inside the vacuole.



     Chloroplasts to the Polyjuice Potion- A chloroplasts takes in sunlight and turns it into glucose (sugar). Chloroplasts are only found in plant cells.

-         Chloroplasts are like polyjuice potion because polyjuice potion turns someone into something else. Similarly, the chloroplasts turns sunlight into glucose.

       Cell Membrane to the Sorting Hat- The cell membrane is the “skin” of the cell. It keeps the good things in and releases the bad things.

The Cell Membrane divides the good and bad just like the sorting hat divides the good
 from the bad. The good are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, and the bad is 
Slytherin.

      Cell wall to Platform 9 ¾ - The cell wall supports and strengthens the cell membrane. It’s only found in plant cells.

 Platforms 9 ¾ provides extra strength to Hogwarts so that no muggles can get in. Similarly, the cell wall strengthens the cell membrane.

 Golgi Apparatus to the Honeyduke’s Sweetshop- The golgi apparatus packs fats and other nutrients.

                                                                                          

-          The golgi apparatus is like Honeyduke’s Sweetshop because they both full of fats whether in a cell, or in candy.

The Nucleolus is like the Ministry Of Magic because the Ministry controls and regulates the Wizarding World.

Golgi Apparatus As Owl Post Office

The Owl Post packages and transport items

Ribosomes As Shops At Hogsmeade

The shops make the goods for the Wizarding world

Mitochondria As Wands

 Wands produce all the power in the wizarding world, like Mitochondria.

Cell Membrane As The Leaky Cauldron

The Leaky Cauldron is like the Cell Membrane because it only lets wizards into the Wizarding world.

Endoplasmic Reticulum As Owls

The Owls transport the packages like Endoplasmic Reticulum does protiens and lipids.

Lysosomes As The Prisoner of Azkaban

                                     

Wizard that turn bad get captured and go to Azkaban like lysosome, are organelles that contain digestive enzymes. They digest excess or worn out organelles, food particles, and engulfed viruses or bacteria. Lysosome are like the stomach of the cell.
